About Me

I'm a licensed mental health therapist based in Bellingham, WA. I specialize in helping clients transform painful narratives into powerful personal stories. I’ve helped coach speakers for TEDxSeattle and directed Brainpower Chronicles: Stories of Mental Health for six years. I also am a Certified Financial Therapist™ helping people develop a healthy relationship with money.

My Story (The Plot Twists Included)

My story begins in the performing arts as a dancer, telling stories without words. Major problem: I was just mediocre. Cue quarter-life crisis breakdown and a complete pivot towards broadcasting.

In radio, I learned how to listen—really listen—and tell other people's stories. But here's the thing about life: just when you think you've got it figured out, another plot twist appears. At age 40, I made another major pivot and became a licensed mental health counselor.

Today, I help others tell their own stories, and honestly? I love it. There's something magical about watching someone rewrite the narrative that's been holding them back.

The common thread? Stories. Whether it's the story you tell yourself about money, the story you're afraid to tell on stage, or the story that's keeping you from the relationship you want—I help people write better endings.

Behind the Scenes

I'm a fan of all things Pacific Northwest, including the rain (yes, really). I've tried—and mostly succeeded—at zip-lining, canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding, skiing, ice skating, roller skating, paddle boarding, body surfing, snowshoeing, yoga, hiking, cycling, and golf. I enjoy doing all these things while traveling.

I've lived in eight states, traveled to all 50, and visited multiple countries. If there's a live storytelling show happening anywhere, I will find it. I firmly believe in Phoebe Ephron's wisdom (that's Nora's mother): "Everything is copy."

Translation: Life gives us material. It's what we do with that material that matters.
